Kate Fortney Horne is a thirty-something Cleveland native. Her whole life transformed on the day she decided to quit her job in Chicago and move home to Cleveland to open a little gift shop, Lovely Paperie & Gifts. From there, her life “fell into place” as she likes to say. She started a business, met her husband, bought a home, and got married, had her son, Hudson, and opened her second business Babycakes Children’s Boutique all in three busy years. This blog is to share the crazy behind the scenes story of being a wife, mom, business owner (of two stores) and Clevelander.
