One of the hardest things I have time with is balancing everything I want to get done at home and everything I want to get done at work. It seems that if I am not carefully planning, one of the two always suffers (and don’t get me started with getting personal things done for myself like hair appointments or early morning Orange Theory classes!). The best thing I did to make sure we have healthy and fresh meals at home is meal prepping on Sundays. I am borderline obsessed with meal prepping… every Sunday morning I wake up and go through my favorite cook books and blogs (Skinnytaste is my favorite!). Based on the recipes I make my shopping list and cross check it with what we have in the pantry. Then, Hudson and I head to the grocery store to shop. When we get back it is a lot of prepping for the week… I have two crock pots so I will be cooking meats or making soups while cutting fruits and veggies to make week night meals a breeze.
Some of my favorite meal prepping tools are things we sell at Lovely like the Rifle Paper Co. meal planning log and the Magnolia Table Cookbook. These are serious gems for planning the week of delicious meals! If you are struggling to balance home and work life I recommend trying to meal plan on the weekends, it will change your week!!!
